AMBASSADOR AUDREY MARKS LAUNCHED SUCCESSFUL PLEDGE CAMPAIGN AT THE GRIFFIN AWARDS TO UPGRADE JC ROBO

AMBASSADOR AUDREY MARKS LAUNCHED SUCCESSFUL PLEDGE CAMPAIGN AT THE GRIFFIN AWARDS TO UPGRADE JC ROBOTICS LAB.

Ambassador Audrey Marks, Patron of the Griffin Awards, kicked off a somewhat fortuitous pledge campaign to upgrade the Robotics Lab at Jamaica College. As a successful entrepreneur, in her own right, Ambassador Marks understands the saliency of equipping our students with the best technology.

Demonstrating that deeds are better than words, the Ambassador initiated the pledge drive with her own significant contribution, as she urged the rapt audience to do likewise.

The baton was then passed to the charismatic Ms. Caron Chung, Executive Director at the American Friends of Jamaica, to coordinate the pledge drive. Straddling the nexus of effusive entreaty and cerebral petition, Ms. Chung laid out a persuasive paradigm for the Robotics Lab upgrade, which will deliver 21st Century skills to the students at JC and infuse a culture of innovation in the Jamaican economy. Ten minutes later, the altruistic audience, responded prodigiously with pledges of over $11,000.

The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of New York is gushing with gratitude for this unparalleled level of support.

Pease join this worthy cause by making your own pledge today and help us to raise $53,000 for a much needed Robotics Lab upgrade at Jamaica College.
